01 / The challenge
A short event can create awareness without helping participants act. OpenBuild Week was designed with multiple touchpoints so learners could discover a technology, meet collaborators, get support and progress toward tangible work.
02 / The approach
Campus touchpoints lead into learning, experimentation, mentorship and a final building experience.
03 / Work done
Connected campus activations, hands-on workshops, expert talks, community sessions, mentorship and a hackathon / Builders Day into one participant journey.
Created learning opportunities around open payments, open source, AI and emerging technologies, with experimentation as the central activity.
Program activity included Lords Skill Academy, Vardhaman College of Engineering and Lords Institute of Engineering & Technology.
Worked across education, technology, community and opportunity partners, aligning access, tools and support around participants.
The proposal was selected for Interledger Foundation Local Impact Grant support, connecting community learning with open payments and digital financial inclusion.
Used multiple entry points for different experience levels and connected workshops to mentors, community and later building opportunities to sustain momentum.
04 / Impact
A structured program offered more than a single interaction with the ecosystem.
Sessions connected technical context to experimentation and building.
Interledger Foundation grant selection supported the community-led program approach.
05 / Reflection
Developer experience depends on how content, people, tools and follow-up fit together. Each stage needs a clear purpose and a useful next step.
